Gains another new attack below 27% health.This attack occurs between each spin-lunge attack.Dark Hearts rain shade onto the player every 0.5 seconds when above them.The hive appears below the player, flies in a semi-circle while spawning a Dank Creeper, Dark Heart, Devourer, and Eater of Souls, then slows down and drifts towards the player. Spin-lunges occur after every drift-dash.

The hive will fully fade in while circling the player, lunge at them when at full opacity, then slows down and drifts towards the player.

Burrows into the ground and reemerges near the player every 9 / 8 / 7 / 5 seconds, to prevent them from straying too far away.Hive Blobs stick around the hive and fire Vile Clots every six seconds as long as they are farther than five tiles away from the player.Remains stationary where it was spawned and immediately summons 5 / 6 / 7 / 15 Hive Blobs by its side.

In Phase 2, speed is increased and attack transition time is decreased. The Hive Mind enrages outside The Corruption and on the Surface, each condition reduces the burrow time by one second in Phase 1. In Phase 2, it starts drifting slowly towards the player while performing various attacks. The Hive Mind is stationary in all of Phase 1, summoning Corruption-themed enemies at intervals based on its life.

The Hive Mind does not spawn on its own, and requires the player to summon it using a Teratoma or by dropping a Shadow Scale onto a patch of Grimesand which generates on Floating Islands after breaking a Shadow Orb.
